Finding the Strength to Keep Going

A Personal Message from Our Founder

For me, inner stability began as an urgent personal need: I needed to find a way to keep going.

During a prolonged period of fear and isolation, I worried about my daughter’s safety while trying to get through each day. I relied on the help of others for everyday necessities. At times, it was difficult to imagine what I could do next.

I began searching for a way to live without being overwhelmed by fear. Having grown up learning Chinese characters, I read the Heart Sutra for myself and explored its meaning. I wanted to understand how I could put what I read into practice in my own life, without relying on religious belief.

Through my interpretation and practice of Prajnaparamitta, I experienced a change in how I responded to fear. Even while difficult circumstances continued, I found the strength to think, make decisions, take action, and continue building my life.

From Personal Experience to Purpose

Why I Started IBFF

That experience led me to think about children and families facing financial hardship and emotional distress. I wanted to help them find an inner foundation for caring for themselves, continuing to learn, and taking their next steps.

This is why I established Intuit Best Friend Foundation.

Through the foundation, I am working to develop Peace-In Practice™ (PIP™), a meditation education program rooted in my personal interpretation and practice of Prajñāpāramitā.

My experience is the starting point for this work. I want to develop it responsibly into learning opportunities that respect each participant’s needs, choices, and circumstances.

A Future We Can Build Together

My hope is that children and families facing hardship can find the strength to keep going and recognize the next steps available to them.

Inner stability does not remove financial barriers or replace practical support. My goal is to help families build a foundation for learning, seeking help, participating in everyday life, and working toward greater self-reliance.

That hope is why I started this foundation, and it continues to guide the work of IBFF.
